There is a phrase in Chamorro, “Inafa Maolek” or “Afa Maolek” that means do the right thing - and in particular with community. Using my talents and skills in a meaningful way will always be a part of who I am and why I always put my best foot forward to complete things with passion. My eagerness for learning has enabled me to not only overcome but embrace obstacles faced by neuro-divergence, race and gender, while encouraging the people around me to believe that they are also capable of anything they put their mind to regardless of any marginal identity.

In 100 years the opportunities I have are uniquely positioned compared to that of my ancestors. Software’s ever expansive nature never ceases to leave me in awe. It is an axis where the math mind meets innovation. My love of coding will always be based in the love of seeking knowledge and the boundless creativity that this truly special field elicits.
